Prescriptions

Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made in a number of different ways:

  • In Person – Drop your repeat slip into the surgery ensuring the items you require are ticked.  Anything that is not ticked will not be issued.  If you do not have your repeat slip please ask at reception for a prescription request form.
  • By Post – Send it to the surgery with a stamped address envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
  • Online – Through the NHS Wales App or use this Prescription Request Form
  • Email – Send an email to prescriptions.w93031@wales.nhs.uk
  • Via Chemist – We have arrangements with some local chemists for the ordering and collection of prescriptions from the surgery.  Please register with your local chemist and then inform the surgery of which chemist you have chosen and we will make a note on your records.

Prescriptions will be ready for collection 48 hours later. Please allow for the fact that the surgery is only open Monday to Friday when ordering your prescription. If your prescription is requested after 12 noon, it will not be actioned until the following day.

PLEASE NOTE – REQUESTS FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN OVER TELEPHONE. Your repeat medication requires reauthorisation by a doctor every 6-12 months. The back of your prescription will inform you of your review date. Please make an appointment for this to avoid any unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
